After high school, Patricia attended Central Michigan where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching and her Master’s Degree in Counseling. Patricia then taught in the Essexville area for over 50 years. She was a dedicated member of the board at Sunrise Family Credit Union, as well as a member of the Elks Club. She would often donate books back to the local school system, and frequently could be found playing the piano while teaching her grandchildren to do the same. Patricia loved to spend the summers with her family at the cabin at Higgins Lake.
